Find Your Signal is a diagnostic service that measures how brands appear in AI-generated answers. As part of an assessment or an initial diagnostic review, this checker observes the public access conditions of a small set of pages on a brand’s own website: robots.txt rules, indexability directives, security challenges served to non-browser clients, sitemap presence, and content formats.
It makes a small, bounded number of requests, typically under 40 per run. It identifies itself honestly in its user agent, honors robots.txt rules for its own token, and never attempts to bypass security challenges or access gated content. It observes access conditions; it does not collect content at scale.
When the checker cannot read your robots.txt or cannot fully read your sitemap, it reports the affected check as “unconfirmed”, with the reason. It never reports “absent” or “blocked” from a check it could not complete.
